Rewarding is an adjective that means that something is personally satisfying or fulfilling, as in the sentence

"We attended a very rewarding seminar on the meaning of words."

To reward is a verb meaning to recompense; to repay, to compensate, as in the sentence

"The boss will reward us well for our hard work."

Reward is a noun, meaning a payment made in return for a service rendered, as in the sentence

"The reward for our hard work was a week's paid vacation."

Note: Do not confuse reward with the 're-word', which means to say the same thing using different words.
